Therefore, keeping this area as empty as possible will give you more options for placing blocks in later turns.

An effective strategy is to place large blocks close to the edges or corners of the board. These positions usually have less impact on the movement and arrangement of other blocks. When large blocks are placed at the edges, the center still has plenty of space to handle blocks with difficult shapes or to create opportunities to clear multiple rows at once.
